Holidays In Holywell

A Memory of Holywell.

Hi

I am am coming for a reminisce of holidays at Holywell farm, which my Great Uncle Harry and Great Aunt Vi owned, I am hoping I can find the beautiful thatched house, they were idyllic holidays for us girls who came from a council estate in Reading, Berks.

Collecting eggs from the hen house, and Aunt Vi, having some egg scales to find out if they were Standard, medium, large, which was my job! One of my sisters used to ride a small tractor around the farm it was called Mary Tiller

We used to go to market with them.
I remember my Dad fishing on one of his lakes, and Mum being totally scared of the cows

Aunt Vi and Uncle Harry had a son called Eric, who I was going to marry when I grew up!!! ( we think their last name was west, but not totally sure) he married Margaret and they had a son Call Richard. Just hope when I visit it jogs my memory as I was only small

If anyone has any info please reply, that would be great

Regards Yvette
