Howth, From East Pier 1897

More about this scene
A marvellously evocative view looking to the town from the east pier. The Tower is on the hill to the left. In this glorious summer scene, boats are moored along the jetty. It is difficult to believe that less than twenty years later, the harbour was the scene of nationalist gun-running.
