Bridlington Street

A Memory of Hunmanby.

We lived at 70 Bridlington street from 1974 until 1988. The house and all those in Park rise were brand new. At the time our friends were Delvine and John Street, Chris and Roy Bartram, Carol and Gary Frear, Janet and Geoff Smith and a host of others too many to mention. My favourite pubs were the Railway Tavern (Sands Lane), The Buck and the Vetinary Arms. I remember Stockdales as mentioned in another memory. My wife worked in the sports shop that provided the uniforms for Hunmanby
Hall Girls School. The pupils came from far and wide, many from overseas. There were days when Mr Neville Copes cows would trample all over our open plan front lawn on their way along Brid Street. This was a time when you could leave your door open and not worry about too much about the kids.
Happy days.
