Hunstanton, The Green And The Pier 1927

More about this scene
What a scene this is, with bathers in the water, and gentlemen sitting on benches putting the world to rights. Tourists are ordering tickets for the twice-nightly end-of-the-pier show. Children are drinking from the outside fountain (right), and to top it all there is a horse-drawn ice cream cart. What has disappeared are the bathing machines, although the town still has a genteel air about it - Hunstanton must have been heaven to the regular visitors from the industrial North and Midlands. At the time of writing, this pier has been the victim of a massive fire.
