Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Friday 19th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Friday 19th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Monday 5th January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

Kelly's Newsagents
Kelly's newsagents and the business next door (out of the picture) was a furniture removal company.

Kelly's Newsagents
The shop set back from the road was run by the Kelly family in the 1960s. It was a newsagents. My mum and my aunt worked there. I was friends with their eldest daughter Gillian. There was another daughter called Susan and a son called Philip. They were a lovely family.

Primary School Annexe
The building on the left was the Primary School Annexe. It had three classrooms and a large hall and outdoor toilets which were hideous in the winter time. In an attempt to keep the cisterns from icing up, storm lamps were hung up near the chain to give some warmth. Happy days. The head teacher in the 1960s was called Miss Watson and she lived in a detached house next door.

Genealogy & Research Images

Despite over 20 years’ work on the archive, these scans have still not been individually checked and may prove to be damaged, faded, or not of sufficient quality to ever be offered in our full product range. However, if you would particularly like to buy one of these please get in touch quoting the Frith negative number,(s) the town name and size of print you would like to buy. On receipt of your enquiry our archivist will check the scan and advise you if the quality is good enough.

What is an Album?

An album is a way to save a selection of Frith photos, maps and memories that are of interest to you.

Creating an Album enables you to make short lists and then make a final selection from the album. In particular it makes ordering things like calendars much easier - simply create an Album of the 12 photos you like and then use the Album when placng your order - our order process will give you this option.

You can create as many Albums as you want, so perhaps make one for your hometown, where you live now, where your parents live now etc.
