More about this scene
On the western fringe of the town, a very pleasant walk leads up the wooded valley to Panorama rocks. Just below the moors is this rustic old well in Heber's Ghyll. The land was given to the town in 1887 by the Lord of the Manor, Charles Marmaduke Middleton.
