More about this scene
This photograph was taken from the village hall looking towards the Street. The man on the left is standing in front of Leys, a medieval hall-house with a jettied wing. The garden is being mown at the 15th- century Hall House (right), which has been restored and all its timber exposed. Old Drift House, beyond (c1600), has been restored since 1955 with Tudor- style windows. Inside there is a very rare timber- framed chimneystack.
