More about this scene
We look down through the ironwork of the churchyard entrance to the water splash, and up to Stay Barn on the other side of the Brett valley. On the right, beyond the thatched cottage, is Goymer's pork butcher's shop, which closed c1950. The gardener of nearly 40 years ago would be pleased that the box bushes on the left remain today.
