More about this scene
Set against the background of the Lakeland peaks, the Castlerigg circle, near Keswick, forms a beautiful setting for what is considered to be one of the oldest stone circles in England. It is also still known as the Druids' circle, though it was erected long before Druids ever existed on these shores.
