Keyhaven, The Village c.1955

More about this scene
The coastal village of Keyhaven was at the centre of a controversial debate before the First World War, when plans were drawn up to create a tunnel between here and the Isle of Wight. There was also a proposal to build a docks development on the marshes to the east of Keyhaven. The residents must have been thankful that neither plan came to fruition.
