Trimpley Reservoir

A Memory of Kidderminster.

The picture is of Trimpley reservoir taken from the yacht club slipway looking towards the south-eastern end of the reservoir somewhere around 1969 as in 1965 the contractors were still moving the soil to create the reservoir. My father was the supervising electrician during the construction and first two years of it's operation, a period of about four years. Our house was the last one of a block of four in a small close of six staff houses built on the site of the old farmhouse.
The school and the nearest village of Trimpley were two miles away by road up at the top of the valley side with Bewdley and Kidderminster the nearest towns about four or five miles away.
