More about this scene
This archway and wall date back over two hundred years; it is known as Gannock Gate, and forms part of a huge park known as The Walks, where it was the perfect place for fashionable folk to promenade in the time of George II. Over the years The Walks has been continually extended with avenues and trees, providing a welcome open space in this part of town.
