A Selection of Memories from Kirdford

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. Here are some from Kirdford

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

Stired by a recent visit to Ifold. I noticed the reference to Kirdford School. I to went to this school in the early 1960's - and also lived in Ifold. Happy memories especially of Sports days & what seemed like halcyon summers - Apple picking & playing in the fields. My cousin and her brother were evacuated to Kirdford for the duration of the Second World War. They lived in a property rented by their parents which was called Clark's Farm. When I tried to trace the house a few years back I was told it was no longer in existence.  My cousin will be 70 in 2010 and I have a friend willing to do a painting for me - is there anyone who might have a photograph of Clark's Farm which we could use as a base for the picture?
