Born In 1955 In Kiveton Park

A Memory of Kiveton Park.

I was born in 1955 at KIlton Hospital in Worksop but lived in Kiveton for 23years before moving away...I lived with my parents peter and joan spacie and my brother jonathan on Highfield Avenue...on the estate just behind Kiveton club....I had a lovely childhood growing up in the village...I went to the infants and junior school in Kiveton and then to Dinnington High School....
My dad was the manager of kiveton park utd football club for 20 years so I spent every weekend watching kiveton home and away....many memories of this over the years...
my mum was a dinner lady for many years at the infants/junior school and then served at the tuck shop at the youth club in the old infants school for 2 years in the 1980's....
I had many friends in kiveton....catherine lax, glynis savage, susan chapman, neville fairbrother, michael wilkinson, stephen booker to name but a few of them...
I also had a friend in the infants school called carol shelton who lived on station road across the road from the monkey gates at the bottom of anston avenue but she left the village when we were very small I would love to know where she is now..so if anyone knows I would really appreciate it...
I used to go in the saxon pub for many years....I actually went out with one of the lads that lived there called glynn hopkin...for many years....
have been left kiveton 33 years and now live in rotherham but my brother still lives there ..well just up the road in wales....
I still go back there quite regularly...and still see many people from my past...
