More about this scene
The original Prince of Wales pub was a simple-looking 17th-century structure. It was rebuilt in a suitably gung-ho style in the 1930s (centre left). The land opposite the pub is now occupied by housing and a recreation-ground, whilst the house with the appealingly rickety weatherboarding has been dismantled.
