More about this scene
A few visitors are making the best of their visit to the bleak and windswept cliff top. The Penwith House Temperance Hotel, established in 1880, is providing hot or cold luncheons but there is no alcohol available to celebrate. We can see the First and Last House down by the Land's End, while in the far distance is the headland of Cape Cornwall.
