Woman In Photograph

A Memory of Langwith.

The lady in the picture is probably Dorothy Emery. She lived on Devonshire Drive with her parents, Reginald and Edith Florence (nee Bishop) Emery, and her older sister Elsie.

My mums maiden name was Bishop, she is Mary and her father was Ernest Bishop who died very young. I have heard her talk about her Aunty Edith and cousins Dorothy and Elsie.
My Grandma, Mums Mum re married to Ted and became Edna Fountain who taught at the local school for many years living on Limes Avenue until the mid 60s. The Bishop family moved up to Langwith from the Bath area when the local mines closed.
