I remember walking home over the bawbee brig up methilhaven road past jorden terrace and the brickworks and I lived in the first cottage opposite methilhaven church.I went to aberhill school and left in 1960.moved to england1969.my name was beatha greenhorn now e.Corriggan.
I remember when golfers weren't allowed to play golf on Sundays and the golf links belonged to the Leven folk. We had picnics on the slopes nearest the beach as our mother did not like sand getting into our sandwiches etc! So the golf course was her base, where she could sit and meditate in peace while my sister, brother and I had a great time on the beach. 1945 is just a rough guide as to when we spent our ...see more
Not sure if the year is right, could be earlier, but I took part in the Go as you Please competitions held in Letham Glen, and won nearly every time, my prize - a free ticket into the Troxy Cinema, it was great!! The pianist at the time was Ella Lowe, she played for all the artists, I think her married name was Taylor, her husband had something to do with Leven Toon Council. I remember visiting THE SHELL HOUSE in Leven as a child. My granny lived near Crail and I spent all my school holidays with her and my grand-dad. The highlight of my holidays was a visit to Leven and the Shell House. Years later we were on holiday in Scotland and found ouselves in Leven and we went to find it, only to be told it had gone years ago. I was gutted as I really loved going to visit it.
