Leverington Nus Camp - a Memory of Leverington.

One year I arrived early the day befor the camp was due to open. With nothing much to do I gave Joan I think that was her name .She was to be in charge of the camp .That night we all went to the pun in Wisbech .When there Joan offered a job in kitchen.I thanked her and said that I would rather work in the field .There was also an italian boy with us who was then offered the same position which he exceped .I felt very sorrey for him as all the time that I was there he never made friends .He was the paid kitchen hand.
Can anyone remember when BritRail stoped using Wisbech .I remember in the early days on a Saturday afternoon .The rail yard would be full of student waiting to be picked up .Mark Robinson

Tips & Ideas

Not sure what to write? It's easy - just think of an important place in your life and ask yourself:

  • How does it feature in your personal history?
  • What are your best memories of this place?
  • How has it changed over the years?
  • How does it feel, seeing these places again?
  • Do you remember stories about the community, its history and people?
