Lickey, Four Ways 1948

More about this scene
Pictures taken of Four Ways in the 1920s reveal a delightful rural scene. Only 30 years later, it has become just another branch of suburbia. Some picturesque cottages were destroyed to widen these roads and create the roundabout, which now dominates the view. On the far side of the roundabout is Lickey Road, the main route from Birmingham.
