Lindfield, The Pond c.1960

More about this scene
The row of white posts form an attractive (and safe) barrier at the pond`s edge. There are local stories of stagecoaches driving into the water before the posts were erected to cool their wheels. Overlooking the pond is King Edward Hall, opened in 1911 and designed by Walter Tower. The scene has hardly changed today.
