More about this scene
Oulton Park was once the setting for a beautiful house, built in 1716. Unfortunately, it burnt down in 1926, and during the fire six people were killed trying to save artworks from the building. During the Second World War American forces were stationed here, and it was they who built the roads that are now used for the racetrack - the site was taken over for motor racing in 1953.
