The Last Restaurant Manager.
A Memory of Littlehampton.
I worked at the Beach Hotel in the early 1990s.
I worked as the Restaurant manager ,the last one just before it closed .
All so sad .
It was supposed to be fully refurbished,but it all fell through.
The Hotel was so busy, and popular , and loved so much .
I remember the manager (Roy Edicar) saying that it more than payed its way.
Very tired looking, but nobody seemed to mind .
Some lovely memories of my younger days , so many nice local people worked there.
If it had of continued and been refurbished l am sure it would have always been a total success.

We had moved to Devon in May but travelled up to Littlehamton for the wedding. We stayed at the Beach Hotel Friday till Sunday and they spent their first night of their honeymoon there so we all had breakfast together at the hotel before they set of for Germany and we returned to Devon on Sunday.
