Felin Bwlch, Pentregwenlais
A Memory of Llandybie.
My name is Alan Jones, I am from Llandybie having been born at 4 Angel Terrace. This tiny terraced house between the Ivy Bush and the Church was locally known as "Ty John Jew". My Grandfather ran the "Red Cow" for many years.
My Great Grand parents lived in a cottage called "Felin Bwlch" near the lime kilns in Pentregwenlais. Whilst researching my great grand parents I came across a lane called Rue Guy Moquet and it runs from Cae-ras (nr Pantllyn) to Pen Pound. Does anybody know what is the connection?
The name is that of a French resistance fighter executed by the Nazis in Paris in 1941.
