More about this scene
This renowned thoroughfare, a continuation of Oxford Street, links the West End with the City. It takes its name from the Oldbourne Bridge which once spanned the Fleet River. At the foot of the picture is a brewer's dray with stretched canvas tilt. Bowler-hatted clerks enjoy some refreshing breezes on the upper deck of horse-drawn buses.
