This photograph shows Little Green with Hall Water Mill on the left side. The name Melford probably derived from 'mill on the ford'. The famous Bull Hotel with its gables and wide chimney stack is on the right, adjacent to Bull Lane. The group of cottages to the right was demolished in the 1960s to make way for an extension to the hotel.
