Susan was my nana and she lived there many years with her two beloved brother josie and Frank many many happy memories of here playing with my cousins Isabelle thomas and jimmy. Was Lways lots of people around , thomas carved his name in the tree and I was was lucky enough to go back to Westfield cottage in 2007 with my mum dad and sister to have a wander through the field and met the people who now live ther beautiful people , had a wander down to the old moss cottage ruins and there is rhubarb which was planted many many years ago still grows oh what beautiful memories and of my beautiful wee nana uncles josie and Frank bless them
I also have fond memories of visiting Frank, Joe and Susan in the 1970s with my family. We travelled to Edinburgh each summer to spend time with my Grandfather Frank Mcguire (another one!) and my great aunts Mary Mcguire, Helen Mcguire, Jane Mcguire. We would travel over every year to visit Moss Cottage. (In our family we always called it the Moss House, rather than cottage; I don't know why).
To the best of my knowledge they were all cousins.
I remember walking down to the old house to see its remains. I also remember that Frank grew the most incredible vegetables and that Joe kept budgerigars.
