A Selection of Memories from Loxwood

For many years now, we've been inviting visitors to our website to add their own memories to share their experiences of life as it was, prompted by the photographs in our archive. Here are some from Loxwood

Sparked a Memory for you?

If this has sparked a memory, why not share it here?

My family and I lived at 1 Hall House from 1976-1989. The house had been derelict for several years before we moved in and my father restored it over 6 months before we were able to move in. I have many great memories of living there, visiting the Cokler ladies from the Combination Stores, attending Loxwood School and attending St John the Baptist Church where I got married in 1991.
Hi Michael Are you still living in Chelmsford? Last time we spoke you were running the endeavour pub are you still there?
MY MUM used to work there for the Releigh Smiths when we were growing up.. She was then Valerie Zalesny...
When it was frozen over in the winter it was so much fun skating on it, had to make sure that no cracks would come in the ice, life was fun and not much TV.....
