More about this scene
This pretty village has a number of attractive houses. This picture shows the varied building materials used in Norfolk: flint, clay-lump and the famous Norfolk Red brick. In the centre stand good examples of cottages thatched with Norfolk reed, and beyond are roof pantiles brought over by the Dutch. The village store has a good range of gardening tools on display.
