Lyme Regis, The Cliffs 1906

More about this scene
We are looking eastwards along gated Ware Lane (centre) to Golden Cap (skyline, centre right) and Lyme Bay (right). Lyme Regis is only a mile away, beyond the next bend, but lies hidden behind the woods at the Holm Bush and what is now National Trust land at Ware Cliffs (top left). Several fields, formerly part of Ramscombe Farm, were purchased in 1987. They extend down to Devonshire Head (centre right). The view is from Furze Close, beside the grounds of Ware House (to the left).
