More about this scene
This beautiful Tudor mansion was built at the end of the reign of Henry VIII by the successful lawyer Sir John Hynde, partly from materials salvaged when they pulled down the church of St Etheldreda in Histon. In 1756, the owners of the hall commissioned Capability Brown to lay out a park.
