Margate, The Jetty 1918

More about this scene
Like Brighton Chain Pier, Margate Jetty once had a camera obscura. Alas, the jetty was virtually destroyed by a storm on 11 January 1978, after having closed two years earlier on safety grounds. Part of the isolated pierhead still survives as a rusting tangle.
