More about this scene

The oak pulpit of 1891 is of special interest, carved with panels showing Vice- Admiral Trelawny Jago's ship Enterprise searching the Arctic for Sir John Franklin's ill-fated expedition. The Trelawnys of Coldrenick are ever present - on the extreme left is a Trelawny wall monument. Much of the church is 15th-century, restored in the 1860s. Wall plaster has since been removed to reveal bare stonework. There is a Charles I letter over the north door.

Hello, My husband's family descends from The Congdons. I have found out that Joseph Congdon and Ada Helmer Snell possibly lived here. Does anyone know if this is correct? Also who are the people in the photo? Thanks, BeckyC
Hi I was also born in 1950. I was baptised in Menheniot. My parents. Ken and Barbara Jarvis were with my grandparents Elsie and Charles Jarvis. I have some photos of them at Coldrenick House. They spoke of Mrs Trelawney. I am going through photos as I think there are also some of Mrs Trelawnet but I haven't found them yet!
