Rosie Hatch
A Memory of Mixbury.
I have lovely memories of Rosie Hatch. She was a good friend of my mum's even after we moved to the States. They corresponded for years. We lived at (I believe) 13 Mixbury, then there was a man named Tony to the right of us and then Rosie. My step dad (Joe Carreau) was stationed at Croughton and my brother Mark and I had a lamb in the back garden named Larry. My Mum (Maureen - Mo for short) was great friends with Rosie she would always come over for tea or we would go to her, she would sit with us at night if the parents went out.....I was back in Mixbury in 2010 and took a drive through the village and took a look at the Church....it was lovely to re visit this beautiful little place. There was a family named Renfrew across the road from us, I remember seeing a lovely wedding (believe Sally was the brides name), oh the beautiful memories of childhood, although we can not have them again, I would not have given up this time in Mixbury for anything.
