I have an old photo of the football team at Dean school dated 1925. In it is a boy with the Tanner surname , I would love to hear if anyone has any info . Thanks.
My family lived at No 3 (the top flat), Corner House, at the top end of Broad Street, first on the left looking at the photo (but just out of the picture) for many years from 1947 or so. My grandfather Edgar Blake was badly wounded in the First World War and had many operations on his face to rebuild it. He lived to the age of 89, passing away in 1977. He and my grandmother are buried in the Churchyard of St John's. My grandfather was the manager of the World Stores in East Street. Hi, my mum and uncle went to Perrins too, their names are Jean Smith and Dennis Smith, my mum was there between 49 and 54 and uncle 57 and 62, my auntie worked at Broadway garage.
