More about this scene
We are at the junction of Wingrave Road on the left, which leads into Tring past the site of the old Tring silk mill, and Tringford Road on the right; the photographer is standing in Bulbourne Road where it meets the Icknield Way, which goes straight on past the 1950s council houses. The Queen's Arms pub of about 1840 provided a social centre for New Mill, but it was demolished for road improvement some twenty years ago.
