More about this scene
This quiet scene in the heart of the shopping district lacks the bustle of modern Newquay. A delivery boy rests with his bicycle between rounds on the right, while down the street a policeman looks out for traffic to direct. Hartnoll Brothers (right), stationers and printers at Burlington House, were the proprietors of the Newquay Guardian and the Handbook to Newquay and North Cornwall. Motor coach tours to other Cornish resorts are advertised opposite.
