A party of guests has boarded a coach outside The Globe Hotel, probably to enjoy a day's excursion to Torquay or the wilds of Dartmoor. The hotel is now reduced in status to a furniture warehouse. St Leonard's Tower, smothered in ivy, is all that remains of a fourteenth century church, demolished in 1836.
