Rose Breeding In Newtownards
A Memory of Newtownards.
The rose is the national emblem of England, but Britain's leading roses are bred in Newtonards in Northern Ireland by the Dickson's, the world's oldest family of rose breeders. This year (2011) they celebrate 175 years of rose breeding.
