Noak Hill, Romford Road 1908

More about this scene
Before the arrival of the LCC Harold Hill housing estate, Noak Hill was an isolated hamlet; however the thatched weather-boarded cottage on the right still remains to this day. The road descends to Carter's Brook with Manor Farm on the left. It is interesting that in 1908 the telephone had already reached this remote spot.
