Marist Convent Nympsfield
A Memory of Nympsfield.
I arrived at the Marist Convent in Nympsfield in 1948 with my brother Bobby but. from then on he was known as Robert. We had travelled from Manchester with Social Workers with another brother and sister Nora and David Clemons.
The convent did not have electricity we had to use oil lamps when it became dark, I would hang out off the bedroom window reading a book in the last of the evening light in the summer months. Always longing to return to Manchester which we did in 1949.
