Lovely Times
A Memory of Orsett.
I was a cadet nurse at Orsett in the early 70's and then a pupil nurse for a short while as I left to have a baby. I have great memories of life in the Nurses home with all the other girls and of course the house warden good old Gerti. I also knew Malcolm Cuthbert and Mary Green, we were all in the same school, Hassenbrook. Mary and I were best friends and knew at that time that we both wanted to be Nurses. Poor Malcolm, he took a lot of bullying from our Math theacher just because of his red hair, wouldn't happen today of course.
