More about this scene
Osborne House was purchased by Queen Victoria in 1840, and it became something of a shrine to her beloved Prince Albert after his death. Victoria, Britain's longest serving monarch, died here on the evening of 22 January 1901 after a reign of 63 years, seven months and two days.
