A Memory of Osterley.
I was born on June 21, 1938 and lived there unti
1965. My sister Ann and I both went Spring Grove Grammar School, along with my cousin, Joan Yateman, who lived in Hounslow.
We all have very happy memories of the school,
Under Head Master, LT Brown.
We are still alive and well, Ann and myself both living in Blandford Forum in Dorset. My cousin,
Joan lives in Hampton.
All three of us were very good at sports, and I have colours in Cricket (best fast bowler figures were 7 for11), also opening bowler at age16 for Osterley CC. Also squad player at Brentford FC, before leaving school in 1956, where I worked at Heathrow in Customs and Excise.
Member of Auxiliary RAF, 3604 Squadron, Russel Square, Radar Operator, before being called up for National Service. Served in Singapore and Malaya as SAC Radar Operator on active service,
from 57/9, 61 Signals Unit, Sembawang.
Successful career worldwide in Sales & Sales
Training with my own company.
