Center Of The Village

A Memory of Penpont.

You can see Penpont Church right in the center of this photo. Every day of my young life growing up I saw Penpont church. It was very much the middle of the village. Looking north and slightly east you can see the farmhouse (Woodhead) where I lived until I got married. I've moved a couple of times, up to Fife then down to Lancashire and finally to Arizona in the States. My heart is always in Dumfriesshire though and particularly in Penpont. Happy days, parents were Bill and Nan Davidson and both are now buried in Penpont churchyard.
