Ty Rhewyn Farmhouse

A Memory of Penycae.

My grandparents, Stanley Lvingstone Allen & May Winefred Allen lived at Ty Rhewyn on the mountain near the gamekeepers lodge. Any pictures of the old house please? You had to walk up three fields to get to the old house (now a load of stones). They moved to Penycae in the 60's to live in Afoneitha. We used to walk to the well for the water and had to carry all the goods up two fields from the lower road, any memories would be great. They had a child, Wilfred, who died and had to be carried down the field in a coffin; I am told that is why it is a right of way. In the 1950's all of us grandchildren loved the place to play.
