The greatest attraction of Perranporth is its extensive beach of golden sand backed by dunes. It is low tide; children play in the sand, while beyond is the surf and Penhale Point in the distance. At this date, holiday makers could still arrive by the railway as well as by road.

Is the pile of sand the remains or the beginning of the Toc-H altar we used to, as children, help build on the beach for sunday service with Toc-H?
