Tymeinor School

A Memory of Pontycymer.

I was born and brought up in the Avenue and was a Totterdale before marriage. Do you remember Tymeinor School? I went there from 1959 until it closed in 1966. It was a nice place to be, but does anyone remember Miss Ridgeway who used to slap legs for no reason whatsoever. On the other hand do you remember Miss Lawrence who was the complete opposite. Also Mr Williams who was the tallest person I had ever seen, but my absolute favourite was the Headmaster Mr Morgan, what a lovely man! Can't get a group going on friends reunited as the school is not recognised. Wouldn't it be great to do something where old school friends could get in touch.
