More about this scene
A few improvements have been made in the ten years since the previous pictures of Port Soderick were taken. The hotel has acquired a canopied front, and the inclined tramway (formally located at the Falcon Cliff Hotel, Douglas) has been rebuilt here to link the resort with the terminus of the Douglas Southern Electric Tramway. For a fare of 6d each way, the DSET offered passengers an exciting cliff-edge ride between Port Soderick and Douglas Head.
