It was once said of the village that 'Puddington is singularly quiet; it is so quiet that it has never yet reached the fame of a picture postcard'. This photograph shows that Frith's postcard company, at least, reached the village. It also reminds us of how much can change, since the row of houses shown here have all gone, to be replaced by some bungalows.
